How It Helps In Shoots
A Fresnel lens collects light that would otherwise spill and drives it forward, so the same fixture reaches further and hits harder. The beam is adjustable from roughly 12° to 40° - from a tight shaft you can pick out a single subject with, to a spread that covers a small set.
That hard, directional quality is what sells sunlight through a window, a practical source across a room, or a hard back-light on a car. It fits Bowens-mount Aputure fixtures such as the LS 120d II, 300d and 300d II, and travels in its own carrying case.
